BEER FOR MY HORSE

By CUROK - Posted on 26 May 2009

I'M PLANNING ON DRIVING FROM L.V.,NV. FOR THE STREET DRAGS IN SEPTEMBER, BUT MY RIDE HATES THE 91 PROOF SWILL.. IN THE LAS VEGAS AREA THE BEST WE CAN GET AT I DRIVE-THRU IS "ROCKET 100" PUMPED BY REBEL.. IT RUNS FINE WITH 100,BUT DON'T KNOW WHAT'S AVAILABE IN THE KINGMAN AREA.. HOPE I CAN LOOK FORWARD TO SOME GOOD NEWS.. THANX!!!!

I think we got you all taken care of on the other board correct???

WELL, I THINK WE GOT IT HANDLED.. A COUPLE OF BUDDIES ARE GOING FROM HERE AND THEY ARE TRAILERING SO I CAN STASH SOME FUEL TO GET HOME. Smile ONE OF THE GUYS HAS A CACKEL-FEST T/F CAR.. ITS NOT GOING TO BE RACING, BUT IT'S A NITRO FLAMING LITTLE MONSTER AND WE WOULD LIKE TO DO SOME START-UPS WITH IT (IT'S A SIGHT TO BEHOLD JUST AFTER THE SUN SETS!! HE HAS A NICE INCLOSED TRAILER TO SET THE CAR UP BY.. WOULD THERE BE AN AREA THAT HE COULD DISPLAY THE THING AND STILL DO SOME START-UPS?? ALSO, WHATS THE RULE ON NOISE.. BEING AS I'M DRIVING DOWN, I WAS PLANNING TO REMOVE THE MUFFLERS AND EXHAUST SYSTEM IN BACK OF THE HEADERS WHEN I GET THERE.. AM I GOING TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR OTHER THAN DOING LAPS, WITHOUT INCURRING LEGAL WRATH?? :? HOPE YOU FOLKS DON'T GET TIRED OF HEARING FROM ME.. I WOULD RATHER ASK THE QUESTIONS NOW THAN DRIVE 100 MILES AND FIND BAD NEWS WHEN I GET THERE.. THANX AGAIN EVERYONE!!!!!!

The local Law Enforcement has a little leniency on that weekend as far as the sound ordinances but you can help us by keeping it down to a minimum when not on the races.

Glad to see you are getting the fuel issue all worked out and one other thing I want everyone aware of is that if you are travelling across the Dam from the North you can not carry more then 25 gallons of fuel in jugs in you trailer. They don't count what is in the vehicle.

And never worry about the questions they are easier to answer now then when we are so busy that weekend Smile

I WANT TO GO.......NOW!!!! ONE MORE DAY TO GO. I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY RECORD THAT WOULD GIVE AN IDEA OF APROX. WHAT IT IS GOING TO TAKE TO QUALIFY E.T. WISE FOR A PARTICULAR CLASS TO MAKE THE FIELD.. LAST YEARS NUMBERS WOULD BE FINE.. JUST TO GIVE AN IDEA.. THANX!! :?

Last year's winners:

Truck: 6.317
Runner up: 5.994

Hot Rod: 4.491
Runner up: 5.897

Pro: 4.473
Runner up: 6.617

Bike/quad: 5.167
Runner up: 4.740

Unlimited: 4.262
Runner up: 4.318

WOW :jawdrop: 4.491 FOR A CAR YOU WOULD SEE CRUISIN AROUND IS STOUT.. WHAT DID IT TAKE TO MAKE ELIMINATIONS? ARE THERE ANY PICTURES OF THE CAR?? WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHO THE BIG GUN BE.. Cool

That 4.491 is 2 time Hot Rod Champ Troy Denton:

AHH...HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! LIFE IS GOOD Cool

I WISH TODAY WAS OVER ALREADY!! ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SLIP BEHIND THE WHEEL AND HIT THE ROAD.. FINALLY!! Smile QUESTION FOR YOU GUYS... BRUCE BARTLETT IS BRINGING THE CACKEL-FEST FUEL DRAGSTER.. HE HAS TALKED WITH BRIAN AND EVIDENTLY THERE IS A PRE-DETERMINED AREA THAT HE WILL BE ASSIGNED TO.. I AM THE CREW CHIEF FOR THE CAR AND LARRY MASON IS A CREW MEMBER AND WE ARE BOTH PRE-REGISTERED FOR THE EVENT IN HOT ROD CLASS.MIKE MARUDUS IS BRINGING A PRO-COMP NOVA AND IS PART OF OUR RAT PACK.. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO PUT US AS CLOSE TO THE DRAGSTER AS POSSIBLE (FOR ACCESSIBILITY)?? IT WOULD BEAT HAVING TO GO BACK AND FORTH OVER A LARGE AREA.. ANYTHING YOU COULD DO TO MAKE IT A LITTLE EASIER WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANX!! KIRK(CUROK)

The parking really is up to you guys ... last year in the back of the pits we had Unlimited class participants parked next to Pro and Pure and even Sport Compact guys ...

THANKS FOR THE POST.. WHAT I WAS REALLY TRYING TO SE IS IF THE REST OF US WILL BE ABLE TO PARK CLOSE TO WHERE YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO WANT THE DRAGSTER.. I GUESS BRIAN HAD A SPECIFIC AREA HE WANTED THE CAR IN FOR THE FIRE-UPS AND CACKLE DEAL.. THANX AGAIN..

CUROK this maybe a little inconvenient but I want Bruce to park with the unlimited class in the Museum Parking lot on the corner of Beale St and Andy Devine. That is the closest to the start line and gives the car the best exposure. But I cant park anyone other then the unlimited class there, because the police have to stop all traffic when those cars come out.
I will get the rest of you as close as we can but like retorq said its always been first come first served.I don't control any other parking areas.
Have Bruce call me when he gets here (928)279-9845.

YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!! ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED. Smile I'LL HAVE BRUCE CALL.. THANX

I believe a gas station around here sells 97? It's on Northern Ave. if I am correct.

If it's Northern I would guess Gas and Grub on the corner ... I haven't been up there in a long time though ...

I doubt my car will be ready so stop asking!!
